Jin (born Kim Seok-jin) is a South Korean singer and a vocalist of BTS. He was born on December 4, 1992, in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, and debuted with BTS in June 2013.
1.Solo work
His solo single "The Astronaut", a collaboration with Coldplay, was released in October 2022, shortly before his enlistment.
After his discharge he released his first solo EP, Happy, in November 2024, and his second, Echo, on May 16, 2025, led by "Don't Say You Love Me".
2.Military service
Jin was the first BTS member to enlist, on December 13, 2022, and the first to be discharged, on June 12, 2024.
3.Paris 2024 Olympic torch relay
On July 14, 2024, a month after his discharge, Jin carried the Olympic flame near the Louvre in Paris as a torchbearer representing South Korea.
