BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단, Bangtan Sonyeondan) released their single album 2 Cool 4 Skool on June 12, 2013, and gave their first performance the next day, June 13, on Mnet's M Countdown with the title track "No More Dream". Their agency at debut was Big Hit Entertainment; today it is BigHit Music, a label under HYBE.
The members are RM, Jin, Suga, j-hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook. Their fans are called ARMY.

2.Rise in Korea (2014–2016)
BTS built their early following with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life series. Their studio album WINGS was released in October 2016, and its repackage, YOU NEVER WALK ALONE, followed in February 2017.
3.LOVE YOURSELF and the US breakthrough (2017–2018)
LOVE YOURSELF 承 'Her', released on September 18, 2017, gave BTS their first entry on the US Billboard Hot 100 with "DNA".
LOVE YOURSELF 轉 'Tear', released on May 18, 2018, became their first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
On their LOVE YOURSELF world tour, BTS played Citi Field in New York on October 6, 2018 — the first stadium concert in the United States by a Korean act. The same month, all seven members received the Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit from the South Korean government, becoming its youngest recipients.
4.MAP OF THE SOUL and "Dynamite" (2019–2020)
BTS released the EP MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA on April 12, 2019, and the studio album MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 on February 21, 2020.
Their first English-language single, "Dynamite", released on August 21, 2020, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making BTS the first all-South Korean act to top the chart. On November 20, 2020, they released BE, whose lead single "Life Goes On" also reached No. 1.
On November 24, 2020, "Dynamite" was nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance — the first Grammy nomination for a K-pop act.
5."Butter", Proof and solo projects (2021–2022)
"Butter" (May 21, 2021) debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100, and "Permission to Dance" followed on July 9, 2021.
On June 10, 2022, BTS released the anthology album Proof, led by "Yet To Come". That month, during their ninth-anniversary celebrations, they announced they would focus on solo projects for a time. On October 15, 2022, they held the "Yet To Come" concert in Busan.
6.Military service (2022–2025)
The members fulfilled South Korea's mandatory military service in turn. On September 20, 2023, HYBE confirmed that all seven had renewed their contracts with BigHit Music.

7.ARIRANG and the return as seven (2026)
BTS returned as a full group with the studio album ARIRANG on March 20, 2026, and performed a comeback show at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul the next day. ARIRANG became their seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and its title track "SWIM" debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 — their seventh chart-topper there.
The Arirang World Tour began at Goyang Stadium on April 9, 2026, and is scheduled to run until March 2027. On July 19, 2026, BTS performed "Dynamite" in the halftime show of the FIFA World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium.
